LIFT Presents – Export Controls Under ITAR & EAR Regulations

This one-day program will provide participants with a solid understanding of Export Compliance under ITAR and the EAR, with a focus on Export Control Reform (ECR). Each attendee will have a better comprehension of their responsibilities in supporting their company’s compliance program.

The Program
Export controls and compliance along with the regulations has long been a complex issue for exporters. Determining agency jurisdiction and classification under the appropriate guidelines is difficult and requires a comprehensive understanding of the regulations. The classification and compliance process has only become more complex under the new Export Control Reform (ECR) initiatives and regulations. Noncompliance can be costly and even lead to loss of export privileges. This program will help identify what has changed and the steps necessary to be in full compliance. Through a review of the regulations as they currently exist and particle examples, the participant will gain an understanding of how to navigate the ITAR and EAR, properly classifying their exports and obtaining the licensing and permission needed to export. They will learn about the new “500” and “600” series and other critical changes to the ITAR and EAR.
