NYC Food Safety Certification Course – Winter 2018

With the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), all businesses that process, pack, hold or manufacture human food will be required to have food safety plans outlined and supervised by qualified staff. Specifically, the final rule “Preventive Controls for Human Food” of the Food Safety Modernization Act requires that food safety plans must be developed and overseen by a “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual” (PCQI).

ITAC recommends the FDA-recognized standardized 2.5-day training curriculum, developed by the FSPCA, that complies with the qualification requirements for “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual” as defined in the new 21 CFR, 117.3. The course will be held on March 6th, March 13th and March 27th (half day).

After successfully completing this course, participants will receive a certificate signed by the AFDO (Association of Food and Drug Officials), which they can present during FDA inspections to prove competency.

Martin Ziegler, lead instructor for FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food, Lead Auditor for ISO/FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS and HACCP, and International Hygiene Trainer will be conducting all three sessions.

Cost: $950/participant* for all 3 sessions, and this includes the official FSPCA training materials and certificate fees.
